The Hideout Big Social is a monthly social night in Derby for people with disabilities. Our mission is to create a fun and safe environment for our guests to socialize and make new friends. Join us for our next event!

The Hideout Big Social is an event for people with disabilities over the age of 18  who are from Derby  and Derbyshire. This is event is hosted by The Hideout Bar on Derby’s Market Place.


The Hideout offers a food menu, has level access to entrance and beer garden offers table service, it also has an accessible toilet as well as a wide range of drinks.

Our first event on the 9th of October 2023, was very successful, we had a great turnout.  We will be holding our event on a monthly basis from now on. To help with the running costs of the event we will be charging a £1.00 entrance fee (Carers and support staff get in free). Our next event is on Monday the 21st of July, 2025, from 6.30 pm to 10.00pm.

            The Hideout Big Social             Big Prom 2025

The Hideout Big Social is a monthly event for adults (18+) with disabilities from Derby, Derbyshire, and beyond – and you’re invited!

​

Get ready for a fantastic evening of fun, music, and celebration at this year’s Hideout Big Social: Big Prom 2025 – a welcoming and inclusive night out created

​

especially for disabled adults aged 18 and over. Whether you love dancing, singing, dressing up, or just enjoying great company in a friendly space, this event promises something for everyone. The night will feature a lively disco, karaoke, and a few surprises along the way – including the chance to be crowned Prom King, Queen or Person.

​

What to expect on the night:

​

  • A buzzing disco and karaoke

  • An entrance raffle with a £10 Amazon Gift Card to be won

  • A fun-filled tombola with a variety of prizes

  • The crowning of our Prom King, Queen or Person

  • Light-hearted competitions throughout the night

  • Entry is just £1.00, and carers and support staff go free.

This is a fully accessible event designed with inclusivity in mind. We welcome adults with all kinds of disabilities, including physical disabilities, learning disabilities, autism, and sensory needs. The venue is step-free and easy to navigate, with seating, quiet areas, and a supportive team of volunteers on hand to help if needed.

 

Join us on Monday the 21st of July, 2021 from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM at The Hideout Bar, located at 9-11 Marketplace, Derby, DE1 3QE, for an unforgettable evening filled with music, dancing, and fun.​
